DR. RODNEY OUELLETTE, PRESIDENT AND SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR

As founding Scientific Director, Dr Ouellette has assembled a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated scientists. Under his leadership, ACRI has become a premier research facility in Atlantic Canada, with a growing team of 35 people, and has been awarded more than $20 million in research funding.

Dr Ouellette received both his MD and PhD (Molecular and Cellular Biology) degree from Université Laval in 1996. He then completed his residency certification at the Université de Sherbrooke in 1998. He is currently associate professor of medicine at Université Laval and associate professor of biochemistry at Université de Moncton, University of NB and l'Université de Sherbrooke. He is a Board member of the Canadien Cancer Society - NB division, the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation, the New Brunswick Medical Society and the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation. Dr. Ouellette has also been active on many national bodies.

In addition to being actively involved in cancer research initiatives and forging strategic partnerships Dr. Ouellette has published a number of scientific papers and articles.
